Alberic Ashmore is the commander of the Castleton branch of the Leaden Mace Society, a dutiful man and priest of Saint Cuthbert of the Cudgel. While not particularly imposing in physical stature, Ashmore nonetheless commands a great deal of respect from all of the Leaden Mace members in Castleton, and none would think of crossing him. Before becoming commander, Ashmore was a renowned senior inquisitor and part-time analyst for the Society. He is most often found in his office in the Leaden Mace hostel, and some operatives joke that he never leaves.

Ashmore has a distinctive habit of steepling his fingers when he is in deep thought or paying very close attention. His birthday is Peloron 6th.

Trivia

• As of the time of writing this article, no one in Akellon that the Vigilant Guardians have met has referred to Ashmore by his given name. He is the only member of the Castleton branch of the Leaden Mace that has not been referred to by his first name, usually being called Commander or Father Ashmore.
• Alberic Ashmore is, in fact, married. His wife's name is Helen, and they live in the northeastern sector of the city, near St. Cuthbert's temple. They married three years ago after a rather long courtship.
