Talked to Liatai about changing up crafting, mainly so that we don't have to wait well beyond when we'd normally get stuff to be able to craft them. So here is what was hashed out, some of it taken from pathfinder.
Crafting is now done with a caster level check, rolling (caster level + casting stat) verses a DC of items proposed CL + 5. For each prerequisite you lack, the DC increases by 5.
You cannot craft an item you lack the feat for.
You cannot craft a consumable (wand/potion/scroll) without the spell it casts.
If you roll a natural 1 on the crafting check, even if that would of been a success, Liatai gets to curse it in some manner.
Examples
A stat boosting item is CL 8, with 1 spell as prerequisite. It's base DC is 13, with a maximum DC of 23 (lower CL than 8, lack the spell).
Flaming is CL 10 with 1 spell as prerequisite. It is base DC 15, maximum of 25.
Spellstoring is CL 12, no spells as prerequisites. It is thus base DC 17, maximum of DC 22.
