Almost everyone knows someone like this; someone who just plain gets along better with animals than people. These people will go to a party and spend the whole evening petting the family dog or cat instead of socializing. They know the names of every animal in their neighborhood, but can't remember for the life of them the names of the animals' owners. These are the people who will be able to calm a nervous horse with a touch and a few words, but be completely lost when the carriage driver yells at them for standing in the middle of the street talking to their horse when there are deadlines to be met. Kethanis takes this trait and dials it up to eleven.
Kethanis has a tendency to care about animals and plants far more than fellow humanoids, and especially cares more about nature than the laws imposed by society. If something natural, especially an animal of any kind, is at stake, he will break any and every law without question to aid it… a fact which tends to land him in trouble with the local law enforcement. He feels he answers to a higher authority, though, and is often confused as to why he gets in trouble. He serves as a Warden for the druids of Kimoshalex's Basin, assigned with protecting the natural world and making sure that those who choose to protect nature do not forsake their duties. He knows a ritual of judgement that can remove nature's favor from a nature-perceived transgressor, as Freida Briarclaw discovered.
Currently, Kethanis is training in Kimoshalex's Basin, and helping Lauren Rokanda, a former Briarclaw druid, find her way back onto the proper druidic paths.
Kethanis' animal companion is a hawk named Koehel.
