Missive From The Aureate Palm

Letter received Fharlon 24th, 1221 CA, at the Bronze Boot in Castleton.

This note bears a yellow wax seal depicting an open hand. The handwriting is clear and very legible.

Adventurers;

Thank you for your brave deed of capturing the necromancer Milia Banshee alive and delivering her to us. The Blackskull cabal of necromancers has been a thorn in the side of the Aureate Palm, the Castleton City Guard, and the good people of the city for far too long. Captain Duncan McKeith of the Castleton City Guard has informed us that you wish to receive a copy of any information we manage to learn from Milia Banshee, and may be interested in assisting in capturing more members of the cabal or purging them from the city. Our interrogation is not yet complete, but this information may prove useful to you.

While Banshee has been reluctant to reveal a good deal of information to us, we have been able to glean a few details.

(1) She appears to be a low-ranking member of the cabal.

(2) Her commanding officer is a tall human male with dark hair who goes by many names, including Morgan, Zach, Adrian, and Francis.

(3) She was commanded to stay in a goblin den to wait for the inhabitants to die of starvation; it is likely that the necromancers were seeking raw materials with which to practice their craft.

(4) She has spoken of two other members of her cabal, a Baxter and a Baum, who are supposedly operating within the city of Castleton somewhere and were also involved in the operation involving the Redmaw and Blacksword goblin tribes. She spoke of them receiving bodies from the operation to continue their foul work.

Hopefully, this information will be of use to you. You are owed a sum of 200 gold pieces for capturing Milia Banshee; simply show this letter at a guard post or one of our offices throughout Akellon to collect your reward. Should you capture or kill any more Blackskull cabal members, please inform a guard or a member of the Aureate Palm.

May your hand be guided by the light of truth and justice.
