Nathaniel Toris is the patriarch of the Toris family, the father of Matthew Toris, and grandfather to the five young Toris siblings. He is the proprietor of the Pearldust Pawn Shop in Castleton's arcane district, where the family lives and conducts business.
Very wise, Nathaniel seems to know a great deal more than he lets on. He is an amateur historian of sorts, and seems to know the story behind every item in his shop; if he doesn't know, he always endeavors to find out. This endears him and his shop to his customers, and to the city guard; while some pawnshops are known to be fences for stolen goods, any thieves looking to sell their ill-gotten gains to the Pearldust quickly find themselves with the guard hot on their heels.
"Nathaniel Toris" is the human form of the elder gold dragon Nathokokasprithion.
