Rhylinar is the younger brother of Zairith, a smiling rogue with a penchant for annoying his more serious brother and getting his hands on things that don't belong to him. A sneak and shameless scoundrel, Rhylinar tends to dance around questions about what he does for a living, and he has a tendency to give others the impression of being something of a layabout and a moocher (especially when food is involved). He seems friendly, at least; he's more open than Zairith, though that isn't saying too much.
Rhylinar is one of the four founders of the Sun Raiders, a group of drow who have spent so long on the surface world that their eyes have started to adapt to the sunlight that blinds normal drow. He has also displayed a great deal of knowledge about house politics and the Underdark War; not surprising, considering that according to Pellan'zyne, he served in Lolth's army before being captured and held at Fort Winterhold with the other three founding members of the Raiders. Calling him old is likely to result in pouting and joking rebuttal, however.
There seem to be hidden depths to this lackadaisical snack thief, especially since Pellan'zyne indicated that he is the "planner" among the four founding members of the Sun Raiders. He seems to have many pseudonyms, and tends to wear the guise of a red-haired half-elf named Traran Hawthorn when out and about in the Castleton area.
