Liatai:Yo!

TMG has connected.

TMG:oh, figured out the connect to server already, huh Tytaj? XD

TMG:big black screen, Liatai…

Liatai:Check IRC.

Tytaj Borninjune:Sometimes I feel like I am looking at a map loading…..

Sofox has connected.

Tytaj Borninjune:It had shiny big connect to server button

TMG:okay, sofox

Tytaj Borninjune:I am not completely computer illiterate.

Tytaj Borninjune:god, I miss spellcheck.

TMG:if you finished the skills, upload to the Swap, and get ready…

Liatai:And now we have only Alex and Meany to wait on. ^^

TMG:aex just dropped…

Liatai:Bah

Sofox:Ah

Meany has connected.

Liatai:And it's a Meany!

Tytaj Borninjune:oNOES.

Tytaj Borninjune:D:

TMG:one more to go…

Tytaj Borninjune:I got groundtextures o.o

TMG:oh!

TMG:Liatai, pull out any random marker token

TMG:then give it sight and ownsership to Tytaj

TMG:so he can actually see us ^^

Tytaj Borninjune:xD

Tytaj Borninjune:Yay, I can see.. soon.

Liatai:All right.

VAE:hehe , neat

Tytaj Borninjune:Still cant see :

VAE:tech… and replace your portrait

Tytaj Borninjune:Yay, sight.

VAE:you still have the bearded one

TMG:danman; working on it

VAE:hehe.. funny

Liatai:I gave you darkvision, too, so you can see pretty much anything.

VAE:it takes you longer to swap than for me to make the change

Tytaj Borninjune:I dont even know what's what xD

VAE:that's .. sad

TMG:huh?

Tytaj Borninjune:xD

Tytaj Borninjune:okays

Liatai:Well, first things first. You can move that little orange I around just like a character.

TMG:hey, sofox

Liatai:Just click and drag. ^^

Tytaj Borninjune:Okay xD

TMG:have you uploaded your sheet to the Swap yet?

VAE:Meany.. see what gimp can do? I shaved tech's gnome in it in 5 minutes

TMG:I think Meany's about to drop….

VAE:might be

Tytaj Borninjune:swamp?

Tytaj Borninjune:how do I do that D:

Sofox:I've uploaded

TMG:sofox; okay, excellent

Liatai:Well, rearrange yourselves however you want. I'll be back in two shakes.

TMG:and I shall reread the log of last session to remember where we are…

VAE:in a cave

VAE:where Trofim ran behind Papi

VAE:and everyone behind Trofim

TMG:no, not yet…

TMG:We left the session off just as Papa picked up the trail again

Liatai:Not in the cave yet. When Meany gets back, I'll start the narration. ^^

VAE:well, since we are in a strange looking enviroment i assume hwe followed him offscreen

TMG:Gogglebolt's on Papa's back with Terri

TMG:ah, alex is back

TMG:still no meany

VAE:bletch

Liatai:Anyway, I'd suggest zooming out a little to start.

TMG:(do we pretend we're satill at the city gates, where we all met and papa picked up the scent?)

TMG:*still

VAE:we might

VAE:this is as good a city as a green grass field

Liatai:As I said, I'll start narrating when everybody's here. ^^

Kimaro:hrm.

Tytaj Borninjune:..

Liatai:Who's Kimaro? o.o

Tytaj Borninjune:xD

Tytaj Borninjune:I am.

VAE:OH.. that's tytaj

TMG:oh, you've been messing with that, tytaj?

Liatai:Ah! XD

VAE:i thought it was an NPC

Tytaj Borninjune:Curiousity got the best of me xD

TMG:wondered what was going on

Liatai:Where are you on the map? XD

TMG:hum, alex seems unresponsive

Tytaj Borninjune:between you guys

VAE:even i can see him

TMG:wait! nevermind

VAE:the x in the middle

Faerie has connected.

Tytaj Borninjune:Its a fae!

Tytaj Borninjune:D:

VAE:hi there! and WB!

Liatai:And there's Faerie!

TMG:now, all we need is word from Meany that he's alive, and we can get this ball rolling

VAE:now only meany

TMG:so, sofox;

Tytaj Borninjune:nya.

TMG:for your character, I think what we're going to say is you aren't starting with us, but we're going to run into you, I think.

Liatai:No, Sofox's character was there, remember?

Liatai:He was in the background.

TMG:After the goblin pickpocketed your character and you had to leave, you wandered elsewhere while Alex's character went off to investigate soemthing else

TMG:eh?

TMG:I thought we said he wandered somewhere else

Meany:Yo vida.

Liatai:Unless he wants to go that route.

Liatai:Usted vive.

TMG:so he wouldn't have to read the entire log to see what he missed… ^^;

Sofox:I just remember confronting the theif.

Sofox:How about we use amnesia!

Sofox:That old plot device.

Liatai:Or, how about this?

TMG:x(

Tytaj Borninjune:xD

VAE:amnesia is a pokemon move

VAE:not a plot device

Tytaj Borninjune:..

VAE:unless the move is used as one

TMG:SNORLAX's SPECIAL greatly rose!

Liatai:If you want, you could have wandered off, and then come back to the main gates to see your brother leaving town with a drow, a crazy cleric, a gnome, a human child, and a huge white dog.

Faerie:…I see black. Is that right?

Sofox:Sounds good.

Faerie:There we go. :3

Sofox:What has my brother gotten himself into?

Tytaj Borninjune:Poof.

Faerie:…who's Kimaro?

TMG:tytaj messing around

VAE:Tytaj

Faerie:Ah.

Tytaj Borninjune:xD

Liatai:Perhaps you can ask your brother while you try to catch up with him, hm? :3

TMG:(especially why he's with a -drow-)

Faerie:

  • Tytaj Borninjune kills a fly.

Tytaj Borninjune:DIE

TMG:so…all we need now is Meany

  • VAE kills tytaj with an exploding boulder
  • Tytaj Borninjune kills vae from the death.

VAE:indeed

Faerie:Tytaj: You know you can impersonate your token?

TMG:he already did ^^

Tytaj Borninjune:How D:

VAE:you did it once

TMG:before you arrived, I saw him test it

Faerie:Oh. o.o

Tytaj Borninjune:xD

VAE:he's smarter than he lets know

VAE:those are the dangerous ones

Tytaj Borninjune:.

Tytaj Borninjune:I AM CURIOUS

Tytaj Borninjune:D:

VAE:As the dialogue in the czechoslovak series between the militionaries

Liatai:Say hi to my cousin, folks. He's looking over my shoulder now.

Tytaj Borninjune:also, I was a warcraft III mapper and a unrealtournament mapper .»

Tytaj Borninjune:.

VAE:He has IQ on the lower normal border

TMG:Hello, Liatai's Cousin!

Tytaj Borninjune:pft, I only have a lower social IQ.

  • Tytaj Borninjune rawrs at the silly cousin.

Liatai:hi

Liatai:That was him. ^^

VAE:Beware, Honza! Those are the most dangerous ones

VAE:Their primitivism borderlines with refinedness

Liatai:OK, so roll call! Who's here?

Sofox:Ty: You were a mapper?

Tytaj Borninjune:sorta.

TMG:here

Tytaj Borninjune:Never got very good at it xD

Faerie:Hm?

Tytaj Borninjune:but I could make maps people would find entertaining.

Tytaj Borninjune:not that I could make that very good looking.

Tytaj Borninjune:thats where the patience part came in.

Tytaj Borninjune:xD

TMG:hm…I need to go afk for a bit

GM:Meany and Danman, are you here?

Sofox:Cool.

Meany:…

Sofox:Entertaining how?

Meany:Lag.

Meany:So much lag.

TMG:hopefully, meany will return before I do—

TMG:ah

TMG:damn

GM:Ah… ^^'

VAE:no, but i am

TMG:okay, that's everyone…

VAE:taking a holidat

Faerie:brb, I have to deal with my laundry for a sec

VAE:danman is currently running the base

Sofox:Laundry, the dreaded foe of all DnDers.

TMG:x3

GM:I see you there, Sofox XD

Kimilé:Sofox is evil, he must be destoyed.

TMG:okay, who gave the half-elf bullettime coffe?

Sofox:Heh.

Liatai:XD

TMG:so! We're all present and accounted for!

Tytaj Borninjune:Yay.

Sofox:Presents?

GM:The dog leads you for a good thirty minutes on foot, starting on the well-worn road leading out of Castleton, then making a sudden veer into the woods beside the road.

TMG:Set the stage, DM! Open up the narration!

Faerie:Okay, I'm back

Tytaj Borninjune:I want presents o.o

GM:Anybody want to talk during the trek, or do you want to just jump to your destination?

Sofox:Me too

Gnogglebolt:Gnogglebolt notes that it seems this band of theives are located outside of the city….an interesting fact

Trofim:Good boy! *Trofim scratches the dog on the neck and gives him the rat*

Papa:*wuff*

Gnogglebolt:Gogglebolt also tenses up any time the Drow walks near, Terri would be quite aware of this

GM:She might be. She doesn't really call attention to if she notices or not. She's just bouncing up and down, excited about being a thief-catcher.

Trofim:Trofim on the other hand, seems focused on leding the dog

Trofim:*leading

TMG:..isn't the dog leading the way? o.O

Trofim:good boy! you'll get another one once you lead us to the swine!

Papa:*snuff snuff*

Elros:Elros follows alongside the dog, casting periodic glances over to the drow.

VAE:he's the one with the pouch and encouraging the dog + giving him more sniff when he loses the track

Meany: (( Gah. ))

TMG:try a restart, meany?

  • Liatai goes to get tea.

Meany: (( Like that would do any good. ))

  • Tytaj Borninjune stares at liatai.

Liatai:teaaaa mmmmm

Faerie:Meany, what's wrong?

TMG:it might, Meany

TMG:he appears to be having severe lag issues

Faerie:Ah. :x

Tytaj Borninjune:amusingly, I am not while being in europe o.o

VAE:and i am in europe too

Faerie:I'm in the US, no problems here.

Liatai:usa usa

Faerie:x3

Tytaj Borninjune:I noted that lia was in the usa, so those in the Usa should have the least lag.

Liatai:What the — Cousin stole the keyboard while I went to get tea! XD

Tytaj Borninjune:( not taking into account that the USA has crappy internet providers )

Liatai:go usa hey i want that -

  • Tytaj Borninjune stares at the crappiness.

Faerie:Hey now, I like my fiber line.

TMG:I'm california, no lag here

VAE:Eastern block FTW!

Liatai:OK, guys, I'm back. ^^'

VAE:that's to your cousin

Tytaj Borninjune:I blame meany :

Tytaj Borninjune::

Tytaj Borninjune:

Meany: (( Do you have any idea how annoying listening to all these beeps are? ))

Tytaj Borninjune:yes.

Liatai:Sorry ^^'

TMG:turn off your speakers, meany

VAE:hehe..

VAE:that's why we do it

Tytaj Borninjune:beep

Tytaj Borninjune:beep.

TMG:or go to "preferences" and shut them off

  • Meany owlswoops Tytaj's face.
  • Tytaj Borninjune narrows his eyes.

TMG:your lag seems to be clearing yup, meany…

TMG:good enough to go on with the game?

  • Tytaj Borninjune glares at meany hatefully.
  • VAE kills Tytaj again: Don't mess with my minions!
  • Tytaj Borninjune throws a pie at meany.

Meany: (( Okay, killing virus scan and firefox did it….eventually. ))

Liatai:Huzzah!

Tytaj Borninjune:virus scan. *shakes head*

TMG:alright, on with the game!

TMG:and I know some dialogue

Meany: (( Except now I can't get the chat to auto-scroll. :/ ))

Tytaj Borninjune:textbubble things

Tytaj Borninjune:click them

GM:So! Gnogglebolt and Elros both look very suspicious of Sszeyl, Terri is bouncing up and down gleefully, Papa is on the trail, Trofim is trying to feed Papa rats…

TMG:anyway

TMG:We started leaving the gate -just- as Tadrim arribved and saw us running off

TMG:so, he catches up to his brother, and….?

VAE:you mean rat's aren't he treat evertone desires ? 0_0

TMG:(your cue, sofox)

Sszeyl:Sszeyl could care less about Elros and Gnogglebolt's suspicions. In fact…there, he now cared less.

Sofox:Oh right.

Tadrim:Hello

GM:Hello to who?

Trofim:Now who's this? And why is he greeting us?

Trofim:A servant of the lie-mages, no doubt!

Tadrim:Hello Brother

Gnogglebolt:Gogglebolt hears another pair of feet bounding up with the group, and turns to see another half-elf. Despite the obvious hair color difference, they looked unusally similar to each other…

Sszeyl:Still, he walked a few paces behind the main group, while remaining in sai throwing range. When the other half breed appeared…"Oh, goody. Now there's two of them."

Elros:Oh, Tadrim, where'd you run off to? I thought I was almost about to have to leave you behind.

Trofim:*Trofim looks with suspicion at the newcomer*

Tadrim:I had some trouble with some Theif trying to take my pouch.

Terri:*turns around to see the newcomer* Are you a thief-catcher, too?

Trofim:Who can say he doesn't command them, or isn't their spy

Tadrim:Well, if you mean do I try to catch theives that are running off with my belongings, then yes.

Sszeyl:"Did anyone have the presence of mind to bring a weighted net, or some rope?

Tadrim:Spies? Commanding thieves? What is all this you speak of.

Terri:*in response to Sszeyl* Uhm…

Trofim:See? He denies he knows anything, just like every one of them

Elros:Don't mind him, I can't tell what he's on about, but he seems…nice enough.

Tadrim:Do you not trust your own brother?

Faerie:(I was talking to you, about Trofim.)

Sszeyl: (( Can anyone else say, Retcon? ))

Sofox:Damn, sorry

Faerie:(Sorry that wasn't clear.)

Liatai:Retcon machine, away!

Tadrim:Alright, well glad that's sorted.

Gnogglebolt:Gnogglebolt looks at the newcomer curiously. As he suspected, it does seem the two half-elves are siblings.

Tadrim:So what are we up to at the moment?

Elros:There seemed to be more than one goblin runnig around stealing purses. Trofim here *Elros gestures over, for Tadrim's benefit* had his purse stolen too. Papa…erm, the dog, is following the scent.

Terri:We're catching a thief! *beams*

Tadrim:Ah, brilliant.

Papa:*woof!*

Tadrim:Yes, very wise.

Tadrim:Animals are faithful companions.

Tadrim:It's a pity what happened to mine….

Tadrim:Anyway!

Trofim:See? He's trying to retard us!

Tadrim:No, I think we should go onwards.

Elros:Yes, come on, it's just pleasantries. Let's get going.

Sszeyl:"Onward! To catching and brutal torture!"

Trofim:Come boy!

Papa:*woof!*

Trofim:you'll get another rat when we get there!

Gnogglebolt:Gnogglebolt only looks weridly at Trofim as he talks, but then his head snaps around to the drow, and his eyes narrow suspiciously.

Trofim:Trofim pats the dog genrly to encourage him

Gnogglebolt:However, he looks forward again, only saying "Indeed, let us continue onward."

GM:The dog eventually leads you to a small valley, surrounded on three sides by hills. (This is where you are currently.) He moves forward, into the center of the valley, then stops, sniffing the air.

TMG:(and darn, the theif hideout being outside the city limits kina messes up something I was planning ^^; )

GM:He sneezes.

Trofim:Found something?

Papa:*keeps sniffing the ground, walking around in circles*

Trofim:come! *gives him the pouhc again

Gnogglebolt:Shakily on the dog's back, Gnogglebolt asks the girl with him "What now, Miss Terri?"

Papa:*sniff sniff sniff…*

Trofim:come! they shouldn't be far

Terri:Papa says there are too many scents here…

Tadrim:Perhaps there is a secret enterance around here?

GM:You can see three cave entrances in the hills.

Gnogglebolt:"hmm. Inconvenient."

GM:One to your left, one to your right, and one straight ahead.

Elros:Quite.

Tadrim:It seems we have unasked for options.

Trofim:Which one, boy? *trofim leads the dog to the first entrance to see if he catches on with the smell**

Sszeyl:Sszeyl skips off to inspect the entrances.

GM:Which entrance do you go to first? Left, right, or center?

Elros:Hmm…are there too many scents in the caves, as well? Perhaps papa could pick up a scent by one of the entrances?

Gnogglebolt:Gnogglebolt looks at the three caves. He then turns and looks to the rest. "Does anyone here have the know-how to determine which cave has been used most?"

VAE:the one he is closest to

TMG:(I am suggesting Knowledge or other skill checks ^^ )

Liatai:Wait one moment…

Liatai:VAE, can you see anything ahead of you?

Sszeyl: (( Since Sszeyl has spent his entire life underground, would this be common knowledge for him, or require a skill? ))

TMG:…it does not seem that he can

TMG:um…shoot

GM:One moment to sort out technical difficulties, and then we can roll Search checks.

Faerie:maky

Faerie:*mkay

TMG:Do you have "Auto-reveal fog" checked when you start a server?

GM:… bah.

GM:One sec.

GM:I've got to disconnect and reconnect.

Sszeyl: (( Aw shite. ))

GM:Saving…

Tytaj Borninjune:oh dear.

TMG:no need, the disconnect and reconnect won't lose anything ^^

GM:Ah, 'kay.

TMG:everythin will remain exactly where it is

GM:Now then! Disconnecting in 3… 2… 1…

Tytaj Borninjune:poof?

You have disconnected.

Server started.

Tytaj has connected.

VAE has connected.

Liatai:Well, there's one…

VAE:me's back

TMG has connected.

Liatai:And three!

Tytaj:I'm back.

Faerie has connected.

  • Tytaj is a pest that is hard to get rid off, yay?

TMG:there we go

TMG:fog is being revealed, and…

  • Tytaj has connected

Sofox has connected.

TMG:I see white grids…they are everywhere o.o

Liatai:Whoops, one sec.

Faerie:I see only black

Tytaj:I see a grid. o.o

VAE:i see what i should see

Tytaj:I see the map sideways

Faerie:There we go

TMG:Gotta draw a VBL box around the whole thing, Liatai ^^;

Faerie:I see the clearing, and drawings on graph paper.

TMG:I also suggest re-covering the stuff with fog…

Tytaj:I see only the clearing o.o

Tytaj:probably because I shortened my name.

  • Tytaj is an idiot for doing that… apparently.

VAE:but you are unimportatn

Liatai:Ah, one sec, Tytaj, I'll fix that.

VAE:so we don 't care

Tytaj:xD

TMG:taj; yeah, token ownership is dependant on name

Tytaj:VAE, I will eat you face

VAE:you'll be poisoned

TMG:anyway, liatai, if you go to the fog tool, and hold down shift before clicking and dragging, it should re-fill in fog

TMG:(and, uh….

Tytaj:why ownership by name D: why not by login IP T-T

TMG:you aren't using -solid- VBL to cover the caves back up, are you?

Liatai:Nope, I'm not.

TMG:okay, good

Tytaj:I like caves.

TMG:(and it doesn't seem you had vision blocking around the actual cave walls, either…oh well. We'll manage)

Liatai:I did so, I just neglected to put vision blocking where the mountains would be. ^^'

Liatai:Anyway!

Liatai:Roll call!

TMG:Present.

Tytaj:I roll.

Sofox:Here

Meany has connected.

Faerie:Yo

TMG:(by the way, you know what's on page 30 of the DMG, liatai? ^^ )

Tytaj:don't go lagging on us now, meany.

GM:So that's four out of six… Meany wll probably need a bit to reconnect…

Meany: (( Aight. ))

TMG:…x3

Meany: (( Also, I see noffink. ))

Meany: (( I see sumffink. ))

Sszeyl: (( Shall we resume? ))

GM:Indeed we shall!

GM:So, who's going to which cave?

TMG:but, liatai, you know what is on page 30 of the DMG? o.o?

Sszeyl: (( Sszeyl is inspecting the entrances.))

TMG:"DM's Best Friend"?

Liatai:I don't have the DMG memorized, so I don't know what's on page 30 until I open the dang book XD

VAE:i'd say either text or pics

VAE:you mean the thing - favorable circumstances 2+ unfavorable 2- rule?

Liatai:Of course I know about the DM's best friend.

Liatai:I have run campaigns before, after all.

Tytaj:I trust you on that.

Tytaj::3

VAE:oh and folks… new PF is up

Sofox:Cool.

Faerie:Ah, really?

VAE:yep

  • Faerie goes to check

TMG:saw it earlier

VAE:i just saw on CVM

TMG:so, what checks are applicable, DM? Search, knowledge (nature), Survival, something else?

GM:Well, that would depend. Are you just looking for signs that people have been here?

Sszeyl: (( Sszeyl us looking for booby traps, so I think Spot would also work. ))

GM:Again I say, who's going to which cave first?

Faerie:I should think signs that goblins have been there, not people.

TMG:Looking at the entrances of all three, not going in?

VAE:(left one girst, with dog)

GM:Search checks all around!

Tytaj:(( girst! ))

Gnogglebolt:Gnoggleblot dismounts from Papa again, with little more grace than last time. It seems dog-riding doesn't agree with him…

Trofim:*vladim directs the dog to the left cave, and goes with him*

Sszeyl: (( Sszeyl is looking into the one on my left.))

Gnogglebolt:Search Cave 1 entrance: « 1d20+4 = 20 + 4 = 24 »

Trofim:search check « 1d20 = 14 »

Gnogglebolt:Search Cave 2 Entrance: « 1d20+4 = 13 + 4 = 17 » (and holy shit my last roll!)

Elros:Elros follows the dog over. search « 1d20+7 = 20 + 7 = 27 »

Gnogglebolt:Search Cave T3 Entrance : « 1d20+4 = 5 + 4 = 9 »

Sszeyl:« 1d20 = 15 »

Faerie:(Nice, natural 20)

Sszeyl: (( Sofox! ))

GM:You notice a whole lot of trampled grass around this cave, several sets of tracks, and… Who's got Knowledge (nature) or Survival to identify the tracks?

Tadrim:« 1d20 +1 = 2 + 1 = 3 »

Trofim:what's survival derived from?

Trofim:as in which stat

Sofox:Sorry, that was for searching.

Elros:Knowledge: nature « 1d20+6 = 6 + 6 = 12 »

Sofox:Now for Knowlege

VAE:that should have been written this way

Tadrim:« d20+ 4 = 5 + 4 = 9 »

Elros:survival « 1d20+6 = 9 + 6 = 15 »

GM:Elros, you can identify the tracks!

GM:They're not humanoid, and most certainly not goblin.

GM:They're bear tracks.

TMG:which cave?

Tadrim:Survival « 1d20 + 4 + 3 = 17 + 4 + 3 = 24 »

GM:Cave 1. We haven't gotten to the other caves yet.

Sofox:Left

TMG:well, I did my search checks on all three o.o

GM:You also notice several smaller humanoid tracks, but they look older than the bear tracks.

Elros:Hmm…Well, unless our goblin turned himself into a bear, he's not down here.

Trofim:What does the dog think? *gives him the pouch again and sees whether he catches on near the entrance*

Sszeyl: (( Are there bears in the Underdark?))

VAE:dire bears might ne

VAE:be

GM:There probably are.

Sszeyl: (( Alright. ))

Sszeyl:"Off to the next cave!"

Papa:*sniffs the pouch Trofim hands to him, then sneezes*

Trofim:hmm, nothing

Gnogglebolt:"Perhaps a bear moved into this cave recently…but in either case, there are no more goblins down that direction."

  • Sszeyl skips to the next cave entrance.

GM:This cave is distinctly narrower. Search checks?

Trofim:search « 1d20 = 17 »

Elros:search « 1d20+7 = 11 + 7 = 18 »

Sszeyl:« 1d20 = 8 »

Tadrim:Search « d20 + 1 = 13 + 1 = 14 »

GM:You find humanoid tracks! They look like goblin tracks.

TMG:Should I make a new search check, or keep the one from before?

VAE:who does?

GM:Trofim and Elros do. Tech, I don't remember what you rolled, so you can either roll again or just remind me of what you got.

Trofim:Here they are!

Trofim:Come!

Trofim:*gives the dog second rat*

Trofim:good boy!

Papa:*woof woof!*

TMG:eh, doesn't matter anymore ^^;

Sszeyl:"Oh dear." Sszeyl goes to follow the insane human.

Trofim:*trofim readies his flail*

TMG:this…is a really tiny cave o.o

GM:This cavern is very narrow indeed.

Tytaj:xD

Sszeyl:Sszeyl starts whistling.

Gnogglebolt:Gnogglebolt draws his morningstar

Elros:I draw my longsword

TMG:will trofim please move forward?

TMG:so the rest of us can follow/ Gnogglebolt won't go to the front of the pack…

Tytaj:Everyone in the cave please

Tytaj:xD

GM:Trofim, Listen check!

GM:Hold still, folks!

TMG:question; is this a dark cave?

Trofim:« 1d20 = 2 »

TMG:or is enough light from the entrance filtering in?

GM:Yes, it is— ah, one second.

TMG:damn…even with your wis bonus., danman x(

TMG:ack, wait!

GM:There we go.

TMG:BEFORE you hit "night"

TMG:sSOMEONE

TMG:needs to get otu a light source

Sszeyl:Sszeyl takes off his glasses, and places them in his wrap. "Ah, to be underground again."

TMG:or we just walked into a dark cave with no light and are rightfully blind as we are now, except fro Sszeyl

Trofim:*Trofim takes out a torch

Tytaj:xD

Trofim:*

GM:So, the human is charging in first without a light source? »

Tytaj:

Sszeyl:"If no one minds, since I can see without a light, I will take point, hmm?"

GM:Ah, torches! Excellent. XD

TMG:put a toch on trofim

TMG:*torch

GM:And this is why I told you guys not to move.

Faerie:(I have lowlight vision, does that help me now?)

Trofim:Hey there!

TMG:alex; yes it does

TMG:GM

TMG:you can lock player movement

GM:Roll initiative, Trofim. XD

Tadrim:I've lowlight vision too.

Trofim:*Trofim takes out Beridze*

Trofim:« 1d20 = 18 »

TMG:"Tools"

GM:How do I do that?

GM:OK, ready.

Tytaj:power of determination?

TMG:lock move and put everyone back where they need to be

VAE:17 actually - i have -1 dex mod

TMG:by the way, Ttaj's token should really be turned back into a marker

TMG:and not a real token

TMG:so we don't confuse him with anything else

VAE:or we can try kicking him and changing password >:3

Tytaj:xD

TMG:and it should be moved so someone else can take his place so they can see the light Trofim has…

GM:One second!'

TMG:sure thing

Faerie:I…don't really see anything different with lowlight.

GM:Just wait one moment so I can sort out the map and such again.

Faerie:I think.

TMG:alex; it's hard to tell with all these weird angles

TMG:but what lowlight vision does

TMG:is double the range of a light source for you

Faerie:Ah, okay. o.o

TMG:but it doesn't change angles

TMG:which is why it's really weird and hard to see here

Faerie:Yeah, I think it's the angles right now

TMG:okay, now here is where we declare marching order?

GM:Indeed it is. Who's going in first?

VAE:well, trofim ran in first

Sszeyl: (( I vote me. ))

TMG:Trofim and Sszeyl taking point together

Sszeyl: (( Because I'm the muscle, and I can scout ahead.))

TMG:Gnogglebolt will be anywhere in the middle he can fit

GM:So, Trofim and Sszeyl trying to squeeze in this tiny entrance together?

VAE:kind of

Sszeyl: (( Hmm. ))

GM:If you're not stopping to decide who goes in first, then I'd suggest rolling Reflex saves, you two.

VAE:heheh

TMG:(or try talking it out…yeah, right ^^; )

Trofim:« 1d20-1 = 5 - 1 = 4 »

TMG:lawl

GM:Sszeyl? :3

Sszeyl:« 1d20+3 = 8 + 3 = 11 »

GM:Well, you two reached the cave mouth at the same time. Trofim, you got stuck up against the wall of the cave, but Sszeyl has managed to get through the tangle of cave walls and limbs and into the cave!

GM:… why is the fog of war not disappearing now. Gah.

TMG:we're not moving

TMG:we have to be able to move to reveal fog

TMG:there we go

GM:Ah, there we go!

TMG:working for me

GM:Sorry about that, guys. ^^'

GM:So, onward?

Tytaj:yay, movement.

TMG:okay…where's Terri, actually?

TMG:Gnogglebolt will stick with wherever Terri and Papa are

GM:The dog watches the drow and human push their way into the cave, wearing something akin to a smirk.

Sszeyl:"Odd….douchebag senses tingling…Aww well. Onward!"

Liatai:XD

TMG:>.o

TMG:ow

TMG:that anachronism hurt

TMG:eh-oh! You dropped from the IRC, liatai

Liatai:So, onward?

Sszeyl: (( I can't get the facing to work on diagonals. :T ))

VAE:heck.. think what the thing itself woudl do with middle age hygiene…

TMG:meany; why are you trying to bother with facing?

TMG:there is no facing in d&d

Faerie:…fff

TMG:foget about it

Sszeyl: (( Because the arrow makes me feel pretty. :B ))

TMG:*forget

Faerie:That was supposed to be /m

Tytaj:xD

GM:So, Elros, Tadrim, what are you doing?

Faerie:Oh, wait

Tytaj:Procreating.

Faerie:Sorry, forgot the command. ^^;

TMG:>.o

Faerie:Consulting with GM, one sec.

GM:Now then! Sszeyl, would you mind rolling a Listen check for me?

Sofox:Heh

Elros:Elros goes over to Tadrim, and holds him back at the entrance to the cave

Sofox:I'm hesistating to enter since I'm terrible at close combat.

Sszeyl:« 1d20+5 = 15 + 5 = 20 »

Tadrim:Thanks.

GM:Sszeyl, you hear a voice up ahead. It sounds like someone muttering.

Sszeyl: (( Would Sszeyl know of sharks, at all?))

TMG:what's Terri and Papa doing?

Elros:Elros speaks softly to Tadrim. "That girl, the one we've been following, I saw something on her that I can't quite place. It's a crest, a white star on a blue field. Does that mean anything to you?"

GM:That's up to you. You can roll a Knowledge (nature) check if you want to let the dice decide, Meany.

Sszeyl:« 1d20 = 19 »

Sszeyl: (( :B ))

Tadrim:Hmmm…

Tadrim:I can't quite recall.

Tadrim:« d20 = 3 »

GM:Terri and Papa are sort of hanging out at the entrance. Papa is shifting his weight back and forth from paw to paw curiously.

VAE:Tadrim recalls he saw the crest on the stand of a guy selling frozen milk

Liatai:What? XD

Sszeyl:Sszeyl pauses, preventing any progress into the tunnel. "I smell me some blood in the water." The Drow takes off his glasses, and puts them in his wrap, while snagging his sai.

VAE:Liatai… that's a fun habit we had in our campaing

VAE:when someone messed a roll real bad they would invent something really silly to happen

Liatai:Ahh, I see. XD

VAE:it comes from a quote from one file - and we jumped on the bandwagon

VAE:the original quote

Liatai:Well, if people want to do that, I have no objections. ^^

Gnogglebolt:Gnogglebolt looks back to Terri and Papa. "Miss Terri, it might be dangeous in there. Theives can turn violent if cornered. I will see if it is possible to avoid a conflict, but I doubt that will work. For your safety, will you wait out here?"

VAE:(someone rolled one on a nature check when orientating)

VAE:You think you are on the plane of shadows

VAE:you wonder where the shadows are ofne

VAE:*gone

Terri:Okay! Just gimme a yell if you get in trouble! Deputy Papa an' I'll be right here!

Elros:"Hmm, very well." Elros taps Tadrim's shoulder as he steps away. "No sense letting that drow have all the fun. You coming?"

Gnogglebolt:Gnogglebolt moves forward a little, trying to get the attention of the taller group members

Sszeyl:Sszeyl progresses into the tunnel. Humming faintly.

Gnogglebolt:particularly the two at the front of the line

Elros:To Gnogglebot "Right behind you, don't worry."

GM:The voice up ahead stops.

Tadrim:I'm up for it.

Gnogglebolt:"Everyone here, can wewait for a moment?"

Liatai:One second, guys, I'll be right back. Talk amongst yourselves. ^^

Sszeyl: (( Listen check for the attention gnome. « 1d20+5 = 11 + 5 = 16 » ))

Trofim:They might get away!

Gnogglebolt:"I must raise some clarification about how we are to go about this…"

Trofim:Hmm… true

Gnogglebolt:"While we are in pursuit of theives, theyand Iare not murderers. I will defend myself if necessary, but we should attempt apprehension of these pickpockets."

Trofim:We should interrogate them first

Sszeyl:Sszeyl looks back to the gnome, his eyeshine quite obvious.

Gnogglebolt:"And, if any of you have objections to that due to wanting this to be done with quickly, consider this;"

Trofim:If they are the lie-mages servants we might get some clues

Sszeyl:"In that case, someone should have brought a rope."

Gnogglebolt:"If we present live captives to the city watch for a trial, we are likely to get a suitable reward as opposed to brining corpses."

Gnogglebolt:"What say you people?"

Trofim:That makes sense… but we interrogate them nevertheless

Elros:Agreed. I have a rope, should we need it.

  • Liatai has returned.

TMG:(were you expecting Gnogglebolt, Liatai? ^^; )

TMG:(Neutral Good, and he's never actually killed anyone before…)

Sszeyl:Sszeyl, questioning. "But if we bring them back alive, will not the Human's law enforcement beat them to death anyway?"

Trofim:Who cares? We'll get a reward

Trofim:And if they find out they are lie-mages servants, it will help our cause

Tadrim:Perhaps their deaths at the hands of city guards will inspire social reform?

Gnogglebolt:Gnogglebolt looks to the drow with a very weird look. "Unlikely. Theives are usually made to do hard labor, or placed in jail for a time."

Trofim:See? He's clever… almost too clever *looks suspectingly at Tadrim*

Sszeyl:Sszeyl considers this.

Gnogglebolt:"Execution is only acceptable for murderes."

Elros:An eye for an eye does not justify murder for petty theft.

Tadrim:I was not speaking entirely seriously.

Sszeyl:"When this is over, Mister, you and I are having a nice long chat, but we'll try it your way."

Gnogglebolt:"Or other heinous crimes. I do not know what culture you come from, drwo, except that is was your kind who started that war a long time ago, wasn't it?"

Sszeyl:« 1d20+5 = 7 + 5 = 12 »

Gnogglebolt:Gnogglebolt then realizes what he is saying, and shakes his head. "forgive me. Such a distraction will not help us."

Gnogglebolt:"But yes, perhaps a talk is indeed in order…"

TMG:okay, so the party starts moving one-by-one?

GM:One moment…

Sszeyl:"You see, that's one of the things we're going to discuss." « 1d20 = 14 »

TMG:Liata; here, it might be useful to lock our movment, and move us one at a time yourself to keep things organized

TMG:(what are all those checks for, many?)

GM:FFFWIP!

TMG:o.o?

Faerie:^this

GM:A javelin zips through the air toward Sszeyl from the darkness up ahead!

GM:« 1d4 = 3 »

TMG:>_-

Sszeyl:Reflex check! « 1d20+3 = 4 + 3 = 7 »

GM:« 1d10 = 2 »

GM:It strikes Sszeyl in the left shoulder for 3 damage.

TMG:aw, dang.

Sszeyl:"Ow."

GM:You can counterattack, Sszeyl.

Gnogglebolt:Gnogglebolt suddenly jerks as the drow is struck. "Great gears!"

Sszeyl: (( How far away is the attacker?))

Elros:Elros can just barely see the commotion up ahead. "Hey, what's going on?"

GM:The attack came from further up ahead in the tunnel.

GM:He's within javelin range, apparently, whoever he is.

Sszeyl: (( Is there enough room to turn around? ))

Gnogglebolt:Gnogglebolt realizes just what a terrible tactical environment this is.

GM:There is… turning toward the attacker, or toward your companions?

Trofim:Hmm… just thieves

Sszeyl: (( Toward the attacker.))

Trofim:they seem to be dangerous enough

GM:All right. If you take a few steps forward, you should be able to see the attacker; the angle is just a little wonky here.

Sszeyl:"This is why if you want to strategize, you do it -before- we enter the cave."

TMG:is it too late to note

TMG:that Gnogglebolt was keeping his voice down? -_-

GM:Wouldn't have mattered. Your attacker rolled well on a Listen check.

Trofim:*Trofim follows*

TMG:okay, uh…

TMG:initiative?

Sszeyl: (( How many spaces may I move?))

GM:Sszeyl, first, since only he was aware of the attacker.

Sszeyl:« 1d20 = 12 »

GM:You can move up to 6 squares, or 30 feet.

Trofim:« 1d20-1 = 7 - 1 = 6 »

TMG:meany; that's plus your Dex

TMG:if you're rolling init

GM:Wait, wait, wait.

GM:Meany, you get an attack, since this is the surprise round. Once Sszeyl attacks, we roll initiative.

TMG:right

GM:So, what do you do, Sszeyl? You can see the goblin now.

Sszeyl: (( Does the goblin have any other weapons?))

Sszeyl: (( That are visible? ))

Sszeyl: (( Also, danman. Post. ))

GM:Not at the moment, although he is holding a shield and you can see a morningstar hanging from his belt. His dirty leather armor is dyed red.

VAE:(that's a running joke almost))

GM:He just threw his weapon at you.

Sszeyl:"Would someone mind pulling this thing out while I go beat the crap out of this guy?

Trofim:But leave some for interrogation!

Trofim:*trofim takes out Beridze*

TMG:um, I don't think it's your turn, Danman

TMG:and drawing anything is a move-action

TMG:we're in initiative rounds, now

Trofim:See? We'll be fighting soon, Beridze.

VAE:hmm, only meany is yet

VAE:he is forward of everyone slightly

GM:Sszeyl, what are you doing? Advancing to fight the opponent, or staying back with the group?

VAE:at least so i understood

Sszeyl:Sszeyl, regardless of anyone pulling the javelin out, rushes up to the Goblin, switching the sai to his righ hand, and lashes out with the blunt end.

TMG:ah, attacking nonlethally?

GM:Oh, wait, sorry. Apparently, you need to move yourself so the fog will lift.

VAE:so the others can take the std actions real time , with just it taking 6 seconds

TMG:(does he have enough monk training yet to be able to do nonlethal attacks without attack penalty?)

Sszeyl: (( For all his faults, Sszeyl can remember his orders. ))

TMG:wait, actually

Sszeyl: (( I roll for attack, right?))

GM:Nonlethal strike with the sai? OK, roll an attack roll, and then subtract 4.

TMG:wait

TMG:If you're attacking for nonlethal damage, you can do an ordinary unarmed strike at no penalty

Sszeyl:« 1d3+3-4 = 2 + 3 - 4 = 1 »

GM:Ah, wait, Meany.

TMG:anyone can. It's using using a lethal weapon nonlethally, or using an unarmed strike lethally, that only monks can do without penalty

VAE:why does he roll 1d3 for attack? 0_0

GM:I didn't mean a damage roll.. Let me get your character sheet out. ^^

VAE:that's silly

TMG:danman; eh?

VAE:he rolled a d3 for attack

VAE:instead of d20

Sszeyl: (( I got confuzzled.))

TMG:oh, that

Sszeyl: (( Used Unarmed Strike, instead of sai. ))

GM:OK, Meany. As Danman said, an attack roll is 1d20 plus whatever your attack bonus is for that weapon.

Sszeyl: (( Sai is 1d4. ))

VAE:that's damage

VAE:attack bonus is +x

Sszeyl:« 1d20+3-4 = 1 + 3 - 4 = 0 »

TMG:hold on

GM:Ouch.

VAE:Bwhaah

VAE:worse than 1

TMG:you don't need the -4 penalty

TMG:are you really attacking with your sai, or are you just punching him?

TMG:if you just do an ordinary punch, you don't need the penalty

Sszeyl: (( Attacking with the blunt end, for nonleathal damage. ))

GM:Ah, so you are using the sai.

TMG:…trying to get around the -4 penalty?

VAE:Sszeyl punches the wall in the *opposite* directiion to which the goblin is standing

GM:Ahem.

GM:May I explain for the new players here? ^^

TMG:okay, I'm confused. What are you trying to do, meany? If you want to deal nonlethal damage, do you want to do so without a -4 penalty?

GM:A-HEM.

TMG:(okay, sorry!)

GM:Thank you. ^^

Faerie:liatai: Please? I've lost track of what's going on.

GM:Okay, so. Folks, the -4 penalty on the attack roll was for dealing nonlethal damage with a lethal weapon. Sai are considered lethal weapons; fists are not. You need training or just darn good luck to make a nonlethal strike on someone with, say, a sword, but unless you hit in just the right place with a fist, you aren't necessarily going to kill whoever you're hitting.

GM:Now, when Sszeyl becomes a monk, he will have the option to switch between dealing lethal and nonlethal damage with an unarmed strike (or certain weapons) without penalty. But that's in the future still.

GM:With me so far?

TMG:(what I was trying to explain… ^^; )

Faerie:Sounds good. But is the -4 penalty from the damage roll or the initial d20 roll?

VAE:tech.. your explanations sometimes make things more complicated ^^'

GM:It's just for the initial d20.

GM:The damage roll is handled as normal; it's just nonlethal damage instead of lethal damage. ^^

Faerie:Ah, okay.

GM:OK, so then!

GM:Meany, do you want to try that again, now that you've been informed of the rules? ^^

Sszeyl: (( I chance to squeeze me out of failing epically?Sure. ))

GM:Then let's see if you've been paying attention in class. :3 What do you do first?

Sszeyl: (( Choose whether to attack with the sai, or with mah fist. ))

GM:10 points! So, what do you choose? :3

Sszeyl: (( Unarmed Strike?))

VAE:folks.. i was speaking wiht our DM on skype.. in case you don't know this lolworthy story

VAE:http://1d4chan.org/wiki/Sameo

GM:10 points! All right. Now for the kicker. Do you need to put a -4 penalty on your attack roll for an unarmed strike?

Sszeyl: (( No. ))

Sszeyl: (( That's only for leathal weapons. ))

GM:Huzzah! A perfect score so far!

Sszeyl: (( Which mah hands ain't yet. ))

GM:Now you want to try to hit the goblin with your fist. What do you roll first?

Sszeyl: (( 1d20+3. ))

GM:Exactly! Care to do so? :3

Sszeyl: (( Is there any point difference if I choose to attack with legs?))

TMG:Nope!

TMG:(er…sorry? )

GM:Now, since this is tutorial mode, of sorts, I'll tell you what this roll is for. Everything you try to hit has an armor class, or AC. Even you have an AC. Your goal is to roll over the AC of whatever you're trying to hit. ^^

GM:It's fine, Tech. XD

Sszeyl: (( A rushing punch seems too..inelegant. Perhaps a sweep-kick? ))

GM:In this case, the goblin's AC is 15, so you need to roll over a 15 to deal damage to it.

GM:Whatever you decide to do is fine by me. ^^

Sszeyl: (( >:3 ))

Sszeyl:« 1d20+3 = 20 + 3 = 23 »

GM:WOO!

GM:OK, roll another 1d20+3.

TMG:Crtitical threatt!

Sszeyl: (( …Please tell me I can keep that. D: ))

Sszeyl: (( Damn. ))

GM:No, it's good!

TMG:(you ARE keeping it)

Sszeyl:« 1d20+3 = 12 + 3 = 15 »

TMG:Wonderful!

GM:You rolled a critical threat! If you manage to roll over the goblin's AC with your second roll, you deal double damage with this strike!

GM:And you did, so… on to damage!

Sszeyl: (())

Sszeyl:« 1d3+3 = 3 + 3 = 6 »

GM:(If you hadn't rolled over it, you would have still hit it no matter what, but it would be normal damage, not double.)

GM:Whoa. 12 damage!

Sszeyl: (( I think I killed em. ))

Sszeyl: (( D: ))

TMG:…describe what happens to the goblin ^^

VAE:nonlethal damage.. erm

TMG:(this is the point of non"lethal damage, Meanyknockouts )

GM:Your sweep kick has shattered the goblin's kneecaps! It falls to the ground, howling in pain, and hits its head on the hard stone floor, falling unconscious.

TMG:aw >.>

  • GM plays victory music!

TMG:Was just going to say;

Sszeyl:"Now that that is over."

VAE:instant rimshot seems appropriate

Sszeyl:"One of you get over here…AND GET THIS DAMN THING OUT OF MY SHOULDER!"

Trofim:Allright

Trofim:*tries pulling the javelin out*

Faerie:We ought to tie up the goblin as well, before he wakes up.

Faerie:…

GM:Heal check, Trofim.

Elros:We ought to tie up the goblin as well, before he wakes up.

TMG:"So, the drow gets hit, then rushes right up to the goblin, hitting it with an unarmed strick, dealing critical damage, knocks out the goblin in one hit, and delcared the strike to be a kick."

Trofim:« 1d20 = 4 »

GM:And Use Rope check, whoever's tying up the goblin. ^^

TMG:"Can someone say 'boot to the head', anyone? "

GM:— pfft

Trofim:Trofim's pull manages to lodge the javelin even deeper

GM:HOW DID I MISS THAT

GM:XD

Trofim:I.. pilled in the wrong direction

Trofim:*pulled

Sszeyl:"…Ohhh, you are so lucky I'm not allowed to kill you."

Elros:rope « 1d20+3 = 3 + 3 = 6 »

TMG:okay, uh….

GM:You can try again, Trofim.

Trofim:« 1d20 = 17 »

TMG:GM, can I explain another rule here, orshall you do it?

Trofim:Now, this is a pull!

GM:There you go! Now it's out.

TMG:everyone hold for a sec

TMG:Okay, listen up peeps;

VAE:'llrigth

Elros:o.o

TMG:As you know, you usually do skill checks by rolling a d20 and adding modifiers. Right?

GM:OK, folks, Tech is going to explain a rule while I type up the description of the next room you will come to. ^^

Faerie:(Fff, why can't I get impersonate right? )

VAE:yes

TMG:There is an alternative.

VAE:do you mean waiting for a 10 and maxing?

VAE:outside of combat that is

TMG:Say you are not in combat. Say your character is taking his time and being careful about a skill check

GM:That's exactly it, VAE! Taking 10.

VAE:except a 10 would not be enough i guess

TMG:you can skip the d20 roll entirely, and instead, "take 10", and add whaever modifiers to 10

TMG:to remove the randomness

VAE:and maxing is inappropriate since there is only so much time he could spend twiddleing there before sszeyl would kill him

TMG:You can't get an excellent roll, so this is useful for relatively easy tasks

TMG:that you know your character should be able to do

TMG:Now, with that said;

Faerie:So, for tying up the goblin, would that be a better idea?

TMG:Uno momento, going to roleplaying now ^^

TMG:wait…ah, damn. Use Rope is Dex,, not Int

TMG:nevermind, yes, go ahead

GM:Up to you. Just know that the lower your Use Rope check roll is, the easier the knots will be for the goblin to escape from.

Faerie:Well, my roll was pretty bad as it was.

GM:OK, then. Taking 10?

Faerie:Yeah.

Faerie:10 + Dex, yes?

GM:Yep. So, that's a 13.

Gnogglebolt:Just as Gnogglebolt had finished explaining his plan to the group, the dro at the front was struck in the shoulder with a javelin. The drow turned and rushed towards the offender. Gnogglebolt had, in his mind right then and there, given up on his plan. The goblin had attacked first, anything further was justifiable self-defence.

Sszeyl:Sszeyl calls, in a singsong voice, "Oh, Mr. Gnome~"

Gnogglebolt:To the gnome's great surprise, however, the drow—the very drow that Gnogglebolt had written off as being the most violent of the group, especially given his previous words, rushes up to the goblin, and instead of drawing a weapon…kickes the goblin instead, by great luck dropping the goblin unconsious right there.

Gnogglebolt:Gnogglebolt is speachless.

Sszeyl: (( Sofox! Tytaj! ))

Elros:Elros pushed ahead, hearing the goblin up ahead hit the ground. He ties up the goblin carefully, before it has a chance to regain its senses. (Taking 10, for a total "Use rope" of 13)

Gnogglebolt:He slowly walks forward. "Ah…thank you, very much indeed, mister drow. I must say, i commend your self-restraint. The goblin had attacked first, that would have been grounds for full self defense."

Gnogglebolt:"I am very glad you chose not to."

Sszeyl:"I do not renege on a bargain once struck."

Elros:Elros puts a foot on the goblin. "As much as I hate to say it, the gnome is right. You did a good thing, drow."

Trofim:We still need to interrogate him!

Meany is disconnected.

Gnogglebolt:Gnogglebolt also nods approvingly at the half-elf busy tying up the goblin. Looking back to Sszeyl, the small gnome bows. "You were not bound by the bargain to restain yoruself if the goblin had struck first, but again, I will remember this. It seems you are…not like the others of your kind I have read about."

TMG:damn

TMG:hold until he gets back…

Faerie:We've lost Meany, and where's Sofox at?

TMG:I dunno…sofox has been quiet…

Liatai:Sofox is around somwhere, I just saw him moving his token. ^^

Sofox:I'm here

Faerie:Ah, ahkay

Liatai:Hey there! ^^

Faerie::3

TMG:okay, now we just wait for Meany to return…

Liatai:So, what is Tadrim doing in the meantime?

Tytaj:T-T

Tytaj:Eating his toenails.

Tytaj:

Faerie:Meany isn't on IRC, is he?

Tytaj:nope.

Liatai:No, he had to close Firefox in order to get MapTool up and running.

TMG:he has to shut off his browser with maptool

TMG:his comp can't multitask, it seems ^^;

Faerie:Ah. 'kay. o.o

Tytaj:( and he was running a virusscanner at the time )

Tytaj:( most notably )

Liatai:Well, at least we've gotten a combat tutorial out of the way. XD

Faerie:Hey, guess what? Maptool is a virus! I've removed it for you;

Tytaj:LD

Tytaj:

Liatai:So, Faerie, Sofox, any questions about how combat is run?

Sofox:Keep rolling till you win?

Faerie:I think I've got it. But what's initiative for, again?

Tytaj:first strike.

Tytaj:? :B

Sofox:I seem to recall diving headfirst (literally) into the most complicated aspect of combat the first time I was playing.

Liatai:Initiative is for determining turn order. Whoever rolls highest, goes first. ^^

TMG:I must say, this sequence of events has been even better than I could have hoped for in getting our characters to liking each other. I (and Gnogglebolt) had written it off when the goblin attacked first, but without that even, Ssey'ls perfect response couldn't have happened

Faerie:'kay

TMG:Though you aren't here…well played, Meany. Well played.

Tytaj:Inititive is rather pointless at this time, since you peeps can't move past another much xD

TMG:and while waiting for him to return,. I will go get a fan to cool myself off. Dang summer heat…

Tytaj:Tech, you should come here, nice and rainy, just be sure to take some anti-rust with yee.

Tytaj:xD

TMG::

TMG:>:

Tytaj:of course it is past midnight now

Liatai:Ahh, are you another person who resides across the Atlantic Ocean? Here, it's only 6:30 PM.

Meany has connected.

Trofim:wb!

Tytaj:0:36 here.

Liatai:Helly again!

Liatai:… Helly? XD

Tytaj:Meany internets.

Liatai:Hello again. XD

  • Tytaj pokes meany.

Tytaj:You alive?

Tytaj:0.0

VAE:troubleshooting my family

Meany:O:

VAE:*sysadmin song plays*

TMG:aha! Welcome back meany

TMG:So, picking up where we left off?

Liatai:Indeed.

VAE:yup

Tytaj:No, let's start all over!:B

Tytaj:

Gnogglebolt:Gnogglebolt also nods approvingly at the half-elf busy tying up the goblin. Looking back to Sszeyl, the small gnome bows. "You were not bound by the bargain to restain yoruself if the goblin had struck first, but again, I will remember this. It seems you are…not like the others of your kind I have read about."

Meany: (( I can't see anything. ))

Meany: (( And I lost everything after my questioning the life of Sofox and Tytaj. ))

TMG:ah…do you want me to repost any of your own lines?

Tytaj:Pft, who needs to live.

TMG:…meany?

TMG:still with us?

Sszeyl: (())

TMG:okay, jus' checking…

Sszeyl:Sszeyl moves forward, and peaks around the bend. "It's always nice to be judged by one's own actions. And I hope you remember my restraint when you and I have that nice long chat. In any event, I'm going ahead. Stay or follow as you wish."

GM:The tunnel ahead is empty, and you can see it widening up further ahead.

Elros:And what of this goblin? Surely, we can't just leave him here?

Gnogglebolt:"Yes, let us continue forward. And as I certainly don't want you being harmed like that again, perhaps if we are cautious enough to not startle them, we can talk first…."

  • Goblin is unconscious, still.

Gnogglebolt:Gnogglebolt stop,s and tugs on Sszeyl's elbow to get him to do the same.

Trofim:hmm… someone should guard him

Gnogglebolt:"He is tied up…but perhaps we already know someone who can watch him for us… "

Sszeyl:Considering Sszeyl's only sleeve is on his injured arm, Sszeyl twitches.

Trofim:The dog! of course!

Gnogglebolt:"I belive our friend Papa will be able to handle an uncionsious, bound goblin well enough. Can someone drag him to the entrance?"

Trofim:I wll

Elros:Very well then.

Sszeyl:"I recomend one of the half-elves stay as well. To keep the girl company."

Trofim:*Trofim tries to lure he dog in with another rat and a friendly call*

Trofim:Come! Good boy!

GM:« 1d20 = 12 »

Papa:Woof woof!

Gnogglebolt:Gnogglebolt also notices Sszeyl's twing of pain when he tugs his elbow. "And perhaps we can move back a little and bandage you up as well, before continuing forward."

Trofim:Stay! Guard the swine!

Terri:Is this the thief?

TMG:(by the way, trofim was carrying the only light source…)

Trofim:One of them

Sszeyl:"No, dear. That's the jerkface."

Faerie:(Yeah, I kinda noticed.)

VAE:well, trofim isn't exacrlt reasonable all the time

Papa:*woof*

Liatai:XD

GM:So, onward?

TMG:Onward, and making Listen checks regularly

Sszeyl:Sszeyl, looking down at the Gnome. "I would be a poor Terror if I let pain stop me. We progress."

TMG:move the light up, trofim?

TMG:there you go, spot for you to move into, danman

Sszeyl:Sszeyl moves ahead, trying to remain just in the light, so he can see clearly, while still being in view of the others.

TMG:Okay, can see around the bend now

Sszeyl: (( By jus in the light, I mean at the edge.))

TMG:GM, would you mind moving us yourself?

TMG:one by one?

TMG:uh oh

GM:The cavern finally widens into a stone room. There is a ring of runes around the top of the roughly circular chamber.

TMG:looks like a dead end

Trofim:Hmm, beridze, i wonder how many lie-mage servants there are

Trofim:Hmm, this looks interesting Beridze

TMG:(There's a vision-blocking line in the way, GM ^^ )

Trofim:I wonder what these are

TMG:(You can clear it away by using the solid box VBL, and holding shift

Gnogglebolt:Gnogglebolt speaks up. "I know these runes…"

Trofim:Trofim reads the runes, mumbling along

Trofim:Some sort of riddle it seems

Elros:"Oh? What say they?"

Gnogglebolt:"They are of the Draconic script. It appears to be some sort of riddle…I will translate as best as I can."

Sszeyl:"I can't read these. So while you translate, I'm going to go back and kick the Jerkface in the ribs some."

Gnogglebolt:Gnogglebolt looks momentarily horrified

Gnogglebolt:"Surely you jest?"

Trofim:Meanwhile , trofim takes out Beridze

TMG:(and I don't think medieval people have the word "jerkface" in their vocabulary…)

Sszeyl:Sszeyl's voice echos. "Oh, of course."

Liatai:The timeline is a little flexible in that regard, Tech.

Gnogglebolt:Still looking a little uneasy, Gnogglebolt returns to translating.

Trofim:Look at this beridze, maybe you think something

Sszeyl: (( Let's just say it's a poor translation of an Undercommon vulgarity. ))

Gnogglebolt:"Soft…as silk. White…as milk."

Gnogglebolt:"Bitter…as gall. A…solid wall."

Trofim:Hmm, if not for the wall, i know a plant like that

Trofim:goats like it quite a lot

Gnogglebolt:"A green coat covers me. SPeak my name."

Gnogglebolt:Gnogglebolt looks up to taller human. "A plant, you say?"

Trofim:Yeah… it's a bit spiky with a soft stem

Gnogglebolt:"What is it called?"

Trofim:and throws a white juice that's pretty bitter

VAE:and guys, here is where mt lack of english comes

VAE:i need to google it in slovak and find latin name

TMG:xD

Liatai:Do you know the scientific name? … Ah. XD

Liatai:I will say this… Trofim's on to something. It is a plant.

VAE:i just know the slang name

Faerie:Would a knowlege: nature check help out any?

GM:It would indeed! Would you like to roll one?

Faerie:Sure

Elros:knowlege: nature « 1d20+6 = 12 + 6 = 18 »

VAE:wait… i can roll profession peasant

Sofox:I could roll one too.

GM:You cast your mind around, trying to think of what the answer to the riddle could be… You don't recall any spiky plants around matching that description, but there is a common tree in this area that has fruit possessing those qualities. The walnut.

Trofim:« 1d20+2 = 15 + 2 = 17 »

TMG:er, should that have been whispered, GM? Just checking….

GM:Nope, it's fine as is.

TMG:okay

Gnogglebolt:"Does anyone have any guesses?"

VAE:think i got mine

Elros:Elros thinks to himself for a moment before speaking. "Well, it's not spiky…but does not the fruit of the walnut tree have those properties?"

VAE:Sonchus arvensis

VAE:and got english name too

Trofim:Yeah… Swine thistle fits it pretty well

Gnogglebolt:"Walnut tree?" Gnogglbolt asks quizzically. (OOC: I assume nothing happens)> Gnogglebolt thinks for a moment, then intones the Draconic word for walnut.

Trofim:Trofim intones the draconic for the above plant

Tytaj:It's an hour past midnight, I think I'll take my love, it's been fun ya'll

Tytaj:later.

TMG:seeya, tytaj

Tytaj is disconnected.

Faerie:Night Tytaj

Faerie:…

GM:There is a grinding noise as Gnogglebolt speaks the Draconic word.

GM:The north wall creaks and shudders… then starts to slide apart.

TMG:Um…meany? you there?

GM:He's there. Just outside the cave. ^^

Sszeyl: (())

TMG:yeah, I'm wondering if he's returned by now…

Elros:Well now, that's quite something.

VAE:also liatai.. the plant gets quite woody when old

Gnogglebolt:"Curious."

GM:This room is made of well-worked stone, and has a layer of dust about half an inch deep on the floor.

TMG:descibe what we're looking at, GM?

TMG:ah

Trofim:See? it worked!

Gnogglebolt:Gnogglebolt takes note of the dust. "So, this obviously is not the theive's hideout, if it is i such disuse."

GM:In the center lies a stone table, with a small, wooden box resting in the center. In the alcove to the west, there are faint scraps of cloth; probably the remains of a pillow.

GM:To the east, a metal bookshelf. There is one book on it.

Gnogglebolt:As Gnogglebolt is quite lower to the dusty floor than the others, he sneezes a little.

GM:In the northwest corner, there is something that looks like a small, round wooden archery target.

Trofim:Trofim goes to the bookshelf, puts beridze on it and opens the book

Trofim:look beridze! there might be the proof we are after!

Gnogglebolt:Gnogglebolt follows Trofim. "What is it?"

GM:The book contains what looks like gibberish.

GM:Unless, of course, you succeed on a Spellcraft check.

TMG:…I am so glad I put ranks in Decipher Script… x3

Elros:Elros walks over to the table in the middle of the room, and examines the box.

VAE:amd i have spellcraft

GM:The box is made of oak, and is carved with the image of a dragon flying over water around the sides.

Trofim:« 1d20+4 = 18 + 4 = 22 »

TMG:woooo o.o

GM:Oh yeah, you can tell what this is. It's a wizard's spellbook.

Trofim:Trofim begins examining the book

Trofim:I was right!

Trofim:A lie-mage spellbook!

Trofim:That's the proof!

Elros:"Hmm, curious." Elros gingerly feels around the surface of the box, looking for a latch, or some means of opening it.

Trofim:See beridze?

Gnogglebolt:"A spellbook"? Gnogglebolt seems to loose interest.

Trofim:The lie-mages are behind these stealing swine!

Gnogglebolt:He moves next to Elros and the box.

GM:The box has a lid, and a latch without a lock. Do you open it?

Elros:Elros slowly opens the lid of the box.

TMG:(*holds breath* )

Sszeyl: (( It's shining a bright light. By RPG rules, it's important. ))

GM:Inside the box is a faded purple silk handkerchief, what looks like a stick of charcoal, and a silver pendant with a large, deep purple stone in the middle.

Trofim:Trofim ignored everyone, flipping through the book trying to read

Gnogglebolt:Gnogglebolt looks to Elros and points at the pendant. "May I?"

Faerie:Elros lifts the pendant out of the box, and holds it where both he and Gnogglebolt can examine it. "It's quite the piece of work, I should say."

TMG:Apprais check, DM?

GM:Certainly!

Gnogglebolt:Appraise Check: « 1d20+8 = 10 + 8 = 18 »

Trofim:Trofim carefully packs the book away: See Beridze? This will make Zairith happy

Gnogglebolt:As Gnogglebolt examines the pendant in Elros' hands, he says softly "Oh dear."

GM:It's a silver pendant, set with a violet garnet. The workmanship alone would make it quite valuable. Say, around 600 GP.

Trofim:This will make Letris happy too - it's a proof… and something we can use against them

Trofim:A step closer to ending the lie-mages' deception!

Elros:Elros looks quzically at Gnogglebolt. "Hm? What's wrong?"

Gnogglebolt:Gnogglebolt looks around to the others. "Good people…I think we should leave."

Trofim:True… now we have *proof*

Gnogglebolt:Gnogglebolt points to the inscription on the pendant. "This pendant was a gift for someone. And judging from what it says, and the other effects of this room, I believe we are intruding on something very personal."

Trofim:The lie-mages are behind this!

Trofim:The spellbook proves it beyond doubts!

Gnogglebolt:"the date is indeed old, however…I belive we should take these items with us, but only with the intent of finding the rightful owner. I will also leave a message in this box."

Gnogglebolt:Gnogglbeolt looks flatly to Trofim. "I have little more love for arcane magic than you do, good human, but I do not understand what you intend to do."

Trofim:Take it to Letris and Zairith of course

Sszeyl: (( Sofox, you dead?))

Trofim:they will know

Sofox:Nah

Trofim:we have figured out harder things

Elros:"Indeed, that sounds like a fair plan. If we are to look for the pendant's owner however, someone must carry it in the mean time."

Gnogglebolt:To Elros, he says, "the inscription reads 'To my dear Salishea, may our friendship never tarnish', and inlcudes a date. There are plenty of libraries in Castleton, perhaps I can investigate and attempt to find it's true owner."

Tadrim:I examine the pillow

GM:Search check!

Gnogglebolt:Gnogglebolt holds out his hand. "Would you give me the honor of safekeeping this heirloom?"

Tadrim:« d20 + 1 = 19 + 1 = 20 »

GM:Tadrim, as you jostle the pillowcase, you hear clinking inside it.

Tadrim:I investigate the clinking.

GM:There are 100 gold pieces in the pillowcase.

Elros:Elros holds the pendant out to Gnogglebolt. "You seem to know what you're talking about. I see no reason why you shouldn't carry it."

GM:They, like the pendant, look very old.

Tadrim:Ahem, friends, I appear to have found money in this pillow

Trofim:Maybe it's lie-mages' money!

Gnogglebolt:Gnogglbolt accepts the pendant, and then at Tadrim's announcement, starts shuffling his feet. "I…I am not sure I am comfortable with this. Reliveing a theif of their possession upon apprehension would be one thing, but this feels far too much like stealing from an honest person."

TMG:*comfortable with this anymore

Trofim:Trofim looks at the coins (history check « 1d20+2 = 1 + 2 = 3 » )

Trofim:Trofim comes to the conclusion the money come from the future

Trofim:He is puzzled by the implications

Tadrim:I'm not comfortable with taking the coins either. Bu

Liatai:XD

TMG:Oioh, Liatai, question

Liatai:Yes?

TMG:Does Castleton have any "banks". Any safety-deposit businesses?

TMG:Any place where one can store objects of value?

VAE:i guess you can store them in many places

Liatai:Most people store objects of value in their homes, but I'm certain you could ask around when you get back to town.

VAE:only problem is retrieval >;3

VAE:FINO buffer

TMG:Hmm…

VAE:First in never out

Gnogglebolt:After a silent moment with his head down, Gnogglebolt looks up. He seems to have thought of something.

Gnogglebolt:"I have a proposal.

Elros:"Yes?"

Gnogglebolt:"We were able to gain entrance to this room, without even forcing. We have stumbled onto objects that I can only assume are of great personal value to their rightful owner. While I do not think anyone suggested leaving the objects here, there is doubly another reason in case someone after us gains entrance in the same way, and isshall we sayless scrupulous."

Gnogglebolt:"I propose we take these objects, but not for ourselves. We shall store them in a safer place. I will leave a message here instructing anyone who finds the message to seek me out. If they do, and they are either this 'Salishea', or know her, then we will surrender the possesions."

Gnogglebolt:"In the meantime, i will try to locate this Salishea myself."

Trofim:The book will go to Zairith and Letris. You can do anything with the rest

Gnogglebolt:Gnogglebolt looks to Trofim. "Who owns the book? Can you find any names on it?"

GM:Search check, Trofim.

Gnogglebolt:To the rest, he asks "Is this an acceptable arrangement?"

Trofim:« 1d20 = 9 »

Elros:"I see no reason to argue with that plan."

Trofim:Whoever owns it is either a lie-mage or their helper

GM:You only see one word in Draconic that might possibly be a name… "Levethix."

Trofim:Som

Sszeyl: (( Som som som som som som som. ))

Gnogglebolt:Gnogglebolt frowns at Trofim. "If you will not give up the book, then may I at least attempt to decipher it for any identifying information, or can you decipher it for me?"

Trofim:*trofim points to the place relevant* It says a wizard owns it. That's enough

Gnogglebolt:"Names, huma. Anything that can help me track down Salishea or anyone related to her."

TMG:*human

VAE is disconnected.

TMG::/

VAE has connected.

VAE:oh crap

TMG:did you catch the last line?

VAE:looks like the storm did someting to the network

VAE:and no i didnt'

TMG:eh?

TMG:"Names, humam. Anything that can help me track down Salishea or anyone related to her."

Trofim:There are no names i can see

Trofim:i can look again if you want

Trofim:« 1d20 = 20 »

Liatai:Woo!

Sszeyl: (())

TMG:(and by the way, isn't Sszeyl getting tired of waiting for everyone…or maybe worried that there was trouble he missed? >.> )

Sszeyl: (( Oh, nothing. He just nearly killed himself. ))

  • Sszeyl is the emo-drow.))

GM:You do manage to find a name! Asterac.

Gnogglebolt:While Trofim looks through the book again, Gnogglebolt checks around the room. He looks for letters, messages, any other personal effects that could be identifying

Trofim:Hmm.. it says some "Asterac" right over here

Trofim:He is probably a lie-mage

GM:Well, there is the archery target in the corner…

TMG:and Liatai; didn't he already find the name "Levethix"?

TMG:Taking 10 for Search

GM:That's "wizard" in Draconic.

VAE:he pointed it to you

TMG:oh

VAE:he knows draconic from the two

TMG:14 for search around the room

Elros:Elros leans back on the table

Gnogglebolt:As Gnogglebolt looks around the room, he perks up when Trofim says the name. "Ah, thank you."

TMG:So, find anything else that sticks out? He's not searching too hard, though…

GM:The only other object of interest in the room is the archery target… which, as you investigate it, you notice that there are arm straps on the back.

Tadrim:I exampine target

Tadrim:« d20 +1 = 3 + 1 = 4 »

Gnogglebolt:Arm straps…does it look like it's meant to be worn as a shield? o.o

Elros:Elros shrugs. "Perhaps someone had a fondness for getting shot at?"

GM:Indeed it does. Although why anyone would want a target strapped to their arm is beyond me… Maybe the word in Draconic on the back has something to do with it?

Gnogglebolt:Yes, Gnogglebolt translates >.>

Gnogglebolt:The translation leaves Gnogglebolt just as confused as before.

GM:Elros, do you want to roll an Intelligence check, maybe?

TMG:How used does it look?

GM:Actually, hold that thought. You probably know, considering Elros was in the military.

TMG:Are there a lot of arrow holes in it or something?

GM:There are a few notches, but all in all, it looks like it's in good shape. The paint doesn't even look flaky at all.

Elros:int check « 1d20+2 = 16 + 2 = 18 »

GM:Has Gnogglebolt said what the word is? I can't remember.

TMG:nope

GM:All right then. Carry on.

Gnogglebolt:"As far as I can tell, the only word this Draconic script indicates is… "loose", but I've no idea what that could mean."

Gnogglebolt:"In either case, I can't tell if this is meant to be a personal item or not, but even if it is, I am not entirely keen on taking it with us."

Trofim:Maybe examining it's inside would be good

Trofim:Trofim swings at it with his flail

TMG:D:

TMG:!!!!

TMG:seriously?

Elros:Elros suddenly jumps to his feet. "Oh, of course—Trofim, wait!"

TMG:well, Trofim's on the other side of the room…

TMG:Gnogglebolt has plenty of time to pull it out of the way, right?

GM:Is Gnogglebolt still holding the shield?

VAE:llisten check

Trofim:« 1d20 = 10 »

TMG:yeah, he's moving the shield away from the violent human o.o

VAE:if he heard him he'll swing at the wall/air instead and wait

GM:He heard him. It's not hard to hear a shout from across a small room. ^^

Faerie:I should hope.

Gnogglebolt:Gnogglebolt hands the "shiled" to Elros

Trofim:Trofim directs the mighty swing at the wall, leaving an indent and shards of crushed rock.

TMG:*shield

Trofim:What?

Trofim:You figured a better way?

  • Elros takes the shield, and examines it further. "Loose. It's a military term. A commander would tell his archers to "loose their arrows." But why would it need to say that on a shield…?"

Gnogglebolt:"perhaps we should take it with us then, and examine it later."

Gnogglebolt:"For now, I'm sure we've kept the good drow waiting on us long enough."

VAE:hehe … and here i was thinking that it is the target being spoken about, not a shield… i am gettign confused

Gnogglebolt:"Indeed, I wonder why he has not returned himself yet. But this is obviously not the theive's cave we are looking for."

VAE:apparently i channel Trofim when tired

Gnogglebolt:Gnogglebolt also collects the handkercheif from the chest, as awell as any other objects that look like they might have personal or sentimental value (are there?)

Elros:Elros hefts the shield onto his back with his other posessions. "Verily. Shall we go see if our drow friend and the girl have been keeping themselves out of trouble?"

GM:There's the box, but other than that, nothing. Ah, there is a stick of what looks like charcoal in the box, as well.

Gnogglebolt:He looks at the "charcoal" closer. Does it look delicate?

GM:No, pretty sturdy. Want to roll a Spellcraft check?

TMG:No spellcraft >.>

GM:Ah, darn.

TMG:but it is sturday, you say?

GM:Indeed, sturdy.

TMG:*sturdy? Tough enough to be in a backpack without breaking?

TMG:OPkay, he grabs that too'

Sszeyl: (( Doesn't Trom have spellcraft? ))

Trofim:Trofim comes to look

Trofim:something with the box?

TMG:okay, that's a little metagaming

VAE:If he sees him fiddling with it

VAE:think

Tadrim:What of the 100 gold?

VAE:everyone is leaving only gnogglebolt stays and is clearly doing something

TMG:Gogglebolt simpl;y took the handkerchief and the charcoal and put it in his pack. No, he wasn't really fiddling with it, just holding it for a moment to see if it would break in his hands or not.

VAE:especially someone as paranoid as vladim would notivce

VAE:trofim

GM:But Vladim's not here, he's in Furrae.

Gnogglebolt:"the gold will go with the other possesions, to be returned to the rightful owner."

VAE:oh bastet , am i getting stupid

GM:Heh, it's OK. ^^

Tadrim:Very well, who shall take the gold?

GM:We'll probably call it for the night when everybody gets outside. I'm being called to go get ice cream.

Gnogglebolt:"perhaps elros here? I cannot carry much more weight…"

Faerie:Who's Vladim? o.o

TMG:darnit, I knew we were taking too long…

VAE:a character

VAE:besides other places

VAE:in the Fragments RP

Liatai:VAE! A perfect opportunity to publicize Asocial SkillS!

VAE:and my current nickname derives from his initials

Gnogglebolt:But yes. After putting the handkercheif and the unremarkable charcoal stick safely in his backpack

VAE:make an excuse for Trofim

VAE:he Is there looking

Gnogglebolt:He takes out a quill and some parchement (uh…he bought some when he as at the library earlier), writes out a message in Draconic

VAE:since it was fast it does not need to be too good

Elros:"Oh! If you need me to carry something, I'm quite able."

Gnogglebolt:Okay, fine. Gnogglebolt holds up botht he handkercheif and the stick for Trofim's inspection.

Tadrim:If no one is taking them, I'll take the gol.d

Trofim:Let's see « 1d20+5 = 8 + 5 = 13 » - i take on today's Madness class power and add to this roll

Trofim:so additional +1 so far

VAE:ack that should have been OOC

Liatai:It looks like a stick of sturdy charcoal to you.

Trofim:hmm, just coal… even beridze does not feel anything special

TMG:so, trofim hands them back?

TMG:Okay, They are in Gnogglebolt's backpack safely, and he writes out the message

VAE:yep he does

VAE:i thought just saying was enough

Trofim:Allright! Let's go!

Faerie:Who's got the gold?

Sszeyl: (( Tadrim. ))

Faerie:k

Trofim:Come!

Gnogglebolt:In draconic; "To whomever finds this message; My name is Gnogglebolt Sparkgear, I am a Gnome from Mazio. My companions and I have discovered this room, seemingly abandoned, and personal items within. If this was your room and your items, do no despair, for we have not taken these items for ourselves, rather, we are keeping them safe. I am trying to find you, the owner, but as I do no know where I will be in the future, my parents might know, as I keep in correspondence with them. Find them, and you may be able to find me."

Gnogglebolt:He adds his parent's address in Mazio to the end of the letter

Gnogglebolt:Places the message in the chest, and walks out reverently.

Trofim:Good dog! Kept waiting!

Papa:Woof woof! *wags tail*

Faerie:(Hang on, I've lost my token.)

TMG:Hey DM, switch vision to daytime again?

TMG:I can't see a thing

Tadrim:I've the gold.

Trofim:Trofim fluffs papi's head with both hands squatting next to him

Gnogglebolt:Gnogglebolt goes to Terri. "Has the goblin woken yet?"

Papa:*oh boy oh boy I'm getting petted oh boy oh boy look at that tail wagging*

Terri:Mm-mm, still sleeping.

Gnogglebolt:"Good, so there was no trouble.

Gnogglebolt:"Shall we all inspect the third cave, my theif-finding companions?"

Sszeyl:"After which I say we fetch ourselves a bear-skin rug as a treat."

Gnogglebolt:To the drow, he says. "As it turns out, that cave was not where our wuarry resides. It was merely a dead end."

Trofim:Well, nothing wrong with looking at the third one

Trofim:we still didn't find the missing pouch

Trofim:though we do have proof i was right

Sszeyl:"Onward! To skulking!"

Gnogglebolt:"we did find objects that look like they belong to someone else, though, so I will be attempting to find the rightful owner."

TMG:(Keeping secrets from the guy who already proved his reliability is a bad idea >.> )

Trofim:a lie-mage spellbook!

Faerie:"And this shield, which we must take a better look at some time."

Faerie:…

Elros:"And this shield, which we must take a better look at some time."

Sszeyl:"After we skulk some more. Now hurry up."

  • Sszeyl skips to the next tunnel.

Trofim:Keep here! good boy!

Liatai:And I believe we should call it there for tonight. ^^

Papa:Woof woof!

TMG:Hey sofox, are you still with us? You've been rather quiet…

TMG:ah

Meany:Aww.

Meany:But alright.

Trofim:'llright

VAE:i think i will finish off next comic

VAE:and put it up

Liatai:Believe me, you'll want to be rested for the next cave. »

TMG:Okay…liatai, can you take care of saving the chatlog, or do you want me to do that?

Liatai:I'll do it. ^^

TMG:sure thing.

Liatai:Well, time to save and quit. Server dying in 3… 2… 1…

TMG:so…calling it a night, return to the IRC?

Liatai:Yep.

You have disconnected.
